I't’s extremely important that I am transparent throughout this entire Cosmetic Tattooing process, because Cosmetic Tattoos are in fact a process!

FAQ

What are “Nano Brows?”

Nano Brows are hairline strokes made with a single needle, rotarty tattoo machine, meant to define, reshape, and add natural dimension to the brows. These strokes are made to resemble real hair strokes.

What is the difference between Nano Brows & Microblading?

When I was first certified in Cosmetic Tattooing, I started with Microblading, a technique where you manually scrape the first layer of skin, with a microblade (line of needles), distributing pigment. Though Microblading and Nano Brows have the same goal of achieving real hair strokes, I found that Microbladed brows lost pigment retention quicker, strokes were harsher on the skin, it was easier to scar the skin, and the overall stylistic freedom was missing.

Nano Brows, are achieved by tattooing pigment into the skin’s first, epidermal layer in an even mechanical manner, by using a rotary tattoo machine, where an artist has control of speed per second, ensuring strokes are exact, evenly saturated, every time. Using a machine offers more of a stylistic approach of cosmetic tattooing, allowing not only strokes, but shading, as a multidimensional, realistic, look. — Nano Brows are more precise, safer, have a longer lifespan and are achievable on most skin-types.

Do I have to set up a consultation prior to booking an appointment?

Consultations are not necessary, but may be asked to schedule if you have scarring in the desired cosmetic tattooed area, have had previous Microbladed or Tattooed brows, or are just on the fence about the process.

When do I give a deposit?

A 50%, non-refundable deposit is given when booking, to secure your desired spot. This deposit goes towards your total cost, of which you finish paying at your session. This ensures your time and mine are valued.

Can I do 2 services (ex: eyeliner & brows) in the same session?

Yes, I offer bundle deal if you want to do a 2-in-1 session. I love doing 2+ services at one time. We really get to see an amazing transformation! (2 birds, 1 stone)

Do Cosmetic Tattoos fade over time?

Cosmetic Tattoos are actually Semi-permanent. Each service has a different lasting pigment life, depending on the skin type. Cosmetic Tattoos typically last 1-3 years. Annual—>2 year touch-ups are recommended to keep fresh cosmetics, if needed. I will never “over tattoo” the skin if there is still enough saturation.

How much are Annual Color Boosts if I’m a Current Client?

Touch-ups are half the price of the full session cost. If the brow has faded almost entirely, you may be charged a full session price.

Is there anything I need to avoid during the aftercare process?

(For 14 days)

  • Facial submersion of water (soaking)

  • Direct Sunlight

  • Use of Retinol, harsh facial topicals (anti-aging).

  • Make-up on tattooed area

  • Heavy Facial Sweating

  • Scented lotions/cleansers

I do give an aftercare bag, with all of the essentials you will need!

I am Pregnant. Can I still get Permanent Cosmetics?

No. Sorry, I would love to treat you, mama.. after you’re done nursing!

Does it hurt?

Everyone has a different pain tolerance. I am quick to make my “skeleton” of the brow. Once that is done, I use a 5% Lidocaine topical to ease any “spiciness” for the majority of the session. Most clients fall asleep.

What if I don’t want you to change my existing brow shape?

I will always suggest what I think would be best, based off of your bone structure or brow shape — but hey, this is your face! I will essentially do whatever you want, except let you look like you have brows that don’t fit your face.

Do you have to shave my brows off before you start tattooing?

No way, José! I work with what you have, staying primarily on the natural body of your existing brow.

Can I gift this service to someone?

Yes, yes, yes! This is such an amazing gift… the gift of effortless confidence & beauty. Who wouldn’t want this?! Contact me so we can talk logistics. I do offer gift cards.
